Doedicurus and armadillo compared

An glyptodont of the genus Doedicurus from 25,000 years ago is compared to  modern armadillos (Dasypus novemcinctus). Doedicurus is five feet tall weighs about 2,200 pounds*, while the armadillos (in this case nine-banded armadillos) are about 20 inches long and each weighing about ten pounds.
